Taylor has 8 years of ocean experience in New England. He recently transitioned from his role as the Bluetech Desk Manager at CIC to become a full member of the SeaAhead team. Prior to his work with SeaAhead, he managed the Local Catch Network, a community of small-scale seafood stakeholders across North America, and organized the 2019 Local Seafood Summit. He also conducted research for the University of Maine on adaptations by stakeholders and supply chains in the lobster industry. While at graduate school in Rhode Island, Taylor worked to identify the market potential for farmed kelp in southern New England and adapted an emergency manual specific to Rhode Island fishing families. Taylor’s seafood systems research has been published in the journal Fisheries Research. Taylor holds an MA in Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island & a BA in Environmental Studies from Colby College.
