Diana Sanchez joined Silicon Valley Bank in 2021 as a senior vice president on the Startup Banking team. Her passion is to help clients leverage technology as a force for good.
Diana has been part of the banking industry for 16 years. Before joining SVB, she held various roles in personal banking, commercial banking, marketing and strategy while working for companies such as Citi, JPMorgan Chase and Co. and HSBC. Through these experiences, she developed a knack for training and developing high-performing teams.
Following a move from New York City to Miami, Diana was first introduced to Venture Café, a weekly gathering of startups dedicated to disrupting existing paradigms with ample creativity. These sessions inspired her to get involved in the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. Throughout this journey, she has mentored women founders looking for funding; advised students on how to perfect a business pitch; and meaningfully built community at the intersection of banking, social impact and innovation.
Diana graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Queens College, City University of New York, and later obtained a master’s degree in mass communications from Florida International University. Outside of her banking career, she’s a published author, CrossFitter and bona fide cat lady.
