Miami as a Global Gateway: Next Stop, Mexico

In-person session | Panel

May 11, 2023 | 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Room: Everglades
ABOUT THE SESSION

Mexicans are so innovative, that they took wild grass and turned it into corn. Now a staple in Mexican cuisine and grown globally, the crop was domesticated over generations of selective breeding that started 10,000 years ago.

In a dynamic panel led by Mexican Consul General Jonathan Chait, we’ll explore Mexico’s positioning in a modern context, examine its startup ecosystem and entrepreneurial trends, learn what changed with the NAFTA / USMCA overhaul of our trade relationship, and discuss how our two countries can be even stronger neighbors.

Fun Fact: Although this discussion will be held in English, did you know that Mexico is home to 68 languages, 63 of which are preserved indigenous languages including Mayan dialects and Nahauatl?

Join us, as we continue our trip around the globe to find out how we in Miami can contribute to the global effort of international innovation.
