The Gender Equity Index (GEI) is a vital tool that compiles data to reveal gender disparities in various aspects of Miami-Dade, such as education, healthcare, employment, political representation, and social and economic opportunities. However, the GEI alone isn’t enough to bring about change. It needs to be put into action by influential leaders in fields like technology, entrepreneurship, education and beyond in order to challenge the current state of affairs.

To address this, our panel discussion will bring together four influential leaders representing different key sectors in our community: private enterprise, non-profit organizations, healthcare, and government. These experts will explore how the GEI can be used effectively to make a real impact in their respective industries. In doing so, they aim to fulfill the primary goal of the GEI’s creation: advancing gender equity in Miami-Dade County.
