Miami is home to a colorfully diverse population of people from different ethnic, religious, cultural, and gender backgrounds 🦩. The unique perspectives that each group brings to the table are essential in breeding innovation, and without them there wouldn’t be the unparalleled collaboration that exists in South Florida!

Unfortunately, not all communities share the same representation in our local innovation ecosystem. In fact, last year  just 11% of the total VC that came into South FL went to companies with at least one female founder. At a national level, Black entrepreneurs received less than 2% of all VC dollars, while LGBTQ+ individuals are about 17-21% less represented in the STEM workforce when compared to the percentage of the population that they make up. 

At Venture Café Miami, we are deeply committed to fostering a more diverse and inclusive innovation ecosystem. That’s why in this gathering we’ll dive into all things DEIB! During this experience, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with local leaders who are actively working to make our innovation community more inclusive, and participate in interactive activities that will help you gain valuable insights.
