What is Visual Storytelling and Why Should Marketers Care? | Visual Storytelling Institute
Apr 26 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Rising above the noise is a major challenge in today’s crowded communication landscape. With over 5 billion items shared online every single day, how do you catch the attention of new customers? 70% of all venture-backed companies are failing, and less than 1% have a chance of becoming a unicorn (source: CBinsights). Why? According to CBInsights, the top reason is “No market need.” Translation: businesses don’t know how to create and tell a compelling story that emotionally resonates with customers.

The most ignored reality is:
People don’t care about product features! They connect with your story that mirrors their problem!

In this presentation, Shlomi and Ville will introduce you to the power of visual storytelling, the next generation development in marketing, including actionable tactics you could apply it your brainstorming session. For eons, people told visual stories to ensure their survival. By end of this year, Cisco predicts that 84 percent of communications will be visual. Now you can set your business idea up for success by sharing your story through powerful visual communication.

“Visual Storytelling is a marketing strategy that leverages compelling narratives, placing your customer at the heart of the story, staged with an emotional visual media experience and effectively distributed across your buyer’s journey – in order to empower customers’ lives and drive business results.”
-Shlomi Ron

Whether you’re a marketing professional seeking a competitive edge, an entrepreneur trying to break through, learn more about visual storytelling, the most effective form of marketing online.

What you will learn:
• What is visual storytelling? And why should marketers care?
• How to apply principles from VSI’s My Visual Story framework into your brainstorming session.
• What makes an effective marketing campaign using visual storytelling?
• Learn about the industry’s most successful visual storytelling campaigns, so, you can push your ideas in a proven direction.

We identify issues that matter most to the future of our city and 1) accelerate the work of change-makers tackling those issues head-on; 2) mobilize innovators, investors, and leaders with the community at large to collectively generate solutions together.

We are committed to meaningfully impacting South Florida by supporting the growth and impact of nonprofit and for-profit social impact ventures. Over the course of the last 4 years we have helped scale and launch over 50 such ventures.

On a rotating basis, Rebecca Fishman Lipsey, Alia Mahmoud, Sarah Emmons and Joan Godoy from the Radical Partners team will be offering office hours every Thursdayfrom 4-5pm at Venture Cafe Miami.

We are providing these office hours to support leaders and social impact organizations who have questions in the following areas: strategic planning, fundraising, pitch practice, project planning and time management.

Please reserve your session in advance, using the link below. Make the most of your time by coming prepared with a few questions.
